One of the digital camp’s main aims is to increase empowering connections within the community to ensure that legacy is retained beyond the funding cycle. By introducing local businesses to local mentors, we remove many of the barriers preventing businesses from investing in digital marketing activity, namely not knowing where to go, who to trust, what to ask or how much to pay for digital marketing.
Part of Social Streets aim is to use the cafes in the local area to host our 'meet the mentor' networking event. This helps make the meeetup feel inclusive and accessible to all. On this occasion we used a new eatery called Melt that had recently opened. Melt's owner, Nidhi, went on to be one of our mentees, mentored by Janna Brom.
